Alti has been an avid seeker of knowledge for as long as she could remember. She reveled in her tribe's – the Dalamiq's – teachings and stories, especially when it came to the lesser moon that traveled across their night sky. So naturally, when Dalamud suddenly stopped this cycle, she was keen to find out why. Alti left her home in the Steppe and set out to cross the seas in search of answers.

In her travels, Alti would seek out tome after tome, eager to find more information about the red moon and its sudden disappearance. Her yearning for learning made it hard to ignore unrelated studies as she passed through the neighboring south sea isles, and the Xaela soon found herself picking up the practice of Arcanima. She was a natural; able to conjure multiple Carbuncle familiars to her side.

Upon reaching the shores of Aldenard, where the red moon was visible once again, Alti would join in the fight against the Empire as the truths of Project Meteor came to light. She would watch Dalamud's descent, melancholic of a story that she once loved now spelling the end for their world.

⋆⁺₊⋆Post-Calamity⋆⁺₊⋆
Now amongst the civilization of the Seventh Astral Era, Alti took up a new life in the hub city of Limsa Lominsa at the Arcanists' Guild, burying her former surname with those dark memories of the Calamity. She remained eager to explore the reborn world and learn everything it had to offer, and to fill the void that her previous journey left in her heart.

With the encroaching Final Days posing another threat to their star, Alti didn't hesitate to answer the call for help from the Sharlayan scientists. Her knowledge of the stars & talents with arcanima would be put to good use in developing the starship Ragnarok. She would work day & night alongside the rest of the crew to ensure the ship's success.

Once the Final Days had been averted, Alti freed herself of the confines of Labyrinthos' work & established a new abode within Sharlayan. She returned to her studies to further her arcane skills & to learn more about the sea of stars that's now been opened up to her. She had also once again taken up her teaching role, helping new students at the Studium who had come to the city for the Academic Homestead Program, and made a habit of taking the boat back to Limsa's Arcanist Guild.

(WIP)Given the opportunity to board the ship from Sharlayan to Tural as a researcher, Alti once again took the chance to give in to her wanderlust and explore even more new sights. While staying in the city of Tuliyollal, she decided to spectate the Rite of Succession, her curiosity once again piqued by the mysterious "city of gold." Maybe she could do her own research alongside the contestants...
One of Alti's first summons & battle partners, Jasper specializes in offensive magicks. He has a matching feisty & outgoing personality, and is quite protective of his master.

Alongside Ruby, Peridot was one of Alti's first summons & focuses on healing & shielding magicks. She is much more shy reserved than her 'brother,' but acts like a friendly housecat when she warms up.

Garnet has a heightened vitality & excels in physical strength, his magical abilities enhancing his attacks. He is quite laid-back & social, making him the perfect partner for Alti's lessons between the Studium & Arcanists' Guild.

Amethyst is the result of an experimental summon – her size is larger compared to Alti's other Carbuncles & has a heightened movement speed, but in exchange, she has very little combat power. Instead she proudly acts as Alti's travel companion.

Alti's ultimate summon & the culmination of her efforts & studies – using her Carbuncles as a catalyst allows her to bring forth her signature canid beast. She's still unsure of exactly what gave him this form, but she's been led to believe that it's a result of her previous devotion to the moon.Akoya's magicks are infused with the element of ice, & the effects of his abilities change depending on which Carbuncle was used to summon him, allowing Alti to adjust for combat scenarios or bursts of healing & protection.

Seabound Songstress

As an Arcadion combatant, Alti utilizes the feral soul of a Siren, enhancing her voice to use the fabled creature's power of song, as well as imbuing her magicks with water. Her body changes to resemble both the feathered characteristics of the creature, as well as scales and fins accompanying her mastery of the water. The feral soul also effects the strength and appearances of her Carbuncle companions, which she summons alongside her in each battle, and enhances them further with her voice. By combining her summons & Arcane magicks with these manipulative songs, Alti has risen in the ranks of the Arcadion, holding her place amongst the Cruiserweight tier.Although Alti began to learn some of the dangers of using feral souls very early on, much like many of the other fighters, she wished to help the Arcadion succeed as a thank you to the President, and so she would fight on. She has been lucky so far as to not witness or experience symptoms of psychonecrosis – however, the Siren's soul had different effects on her and those around her. She had to take extra care, and thus her regulator was only used when needing to take part in a match. The Siren's soul awoke a different part of her spirit as well – the fighting spirit she didn't know she had. Alti becomes a different person on the battlefield, letting her voice and her songs fully drown out the arena amongst the crashing waves. It became clear she would be another contender who could not have a live audience, for their own well-being. While she was not normally a physical fighter before joining up in the Arcadion, this persona seems to revel in the thrill of luring her opponents into their watery demise. After returning from a battle, other than having to snap herself out of her own feral daze, Alti's voice would remain temporarily effected by the Siren's, though without her control – even normal speaking could cause the people around her to succumb to confusion or hindered senses. Were she to actually sing in this state, she could possibly harm others even further, or truly seduce them as the mythic creature was known for. Alti made it a habit to shut herself away, until her comrades would check on her and help her test if it had passed.Of these comrades, the Miqo'te sisters along with Retsarra and Hector became her closest and the rocks she would lean on. Retsarra specifically, and especially after the loss of Eutrope. Alti felt a connection and wished to help him through his loss, just as he was a support for her. She similarly found solace in the companies of Honey B and Dancing Green, sharing in their hobbies during downtime around the city.

Mock Battle Mechanics for fun :) still playing around with these!Songs:
• Seduce (force approach)
• Hysteria (wander in confusion)
• Heavy (reduce movement)
• Reduced Immunity (reduced healing)
• Dropsy (damage over time + vulnerability to water)Spells:
• Summon Carbuncle: summons her Carbuncle familiars, also affected by her feral soul, giving them aquatic features and spells – bubbles from certain Carbuncles attacks used to dispell Breathless effect (working on designs for these guys)
• Spring Tide: summons the moon, increasing the water level
• Whirlpool: places arcane circles in the water that rapidly rotate, inflicting damage + dropsy to anyone caught in them
• Tsunami: pulls the water back into a large wave to drop onto enemies
• Water Spout: focuses a charge of water through an arcane crest for higher single-target damage
• Sea as Black as Night: submerges entire arena, inflicts Dropsy DoT + Breathless
• Arcane Earth: arcane sigils summon ragged rocks around a side of the arena
• Hydro Push: (stolen from Kelpie boss) summons a wave from the opposite side of the arena as the rocks, knocking opponents into them- will add more to this later, maybe. as well as possible solutions?

Once the rite had ended & travel across the continent was less restricted, Alti got herself a permit to cross the bridge to Xak Tural & explore the rest of the continent. Once the train tracks were finally repaired, she eagerly boarded the first train – unaware of the tragedy about to strike. With the sudden appearance of the mysterious dome, Alti became one of many trapped in the connected world of Alexandria.

Although the sudden disconnection to home was jarring, saddening... she was incredibly adaptable; this wasn't the first time she had to make a new home for herself – but luckily, she wasn't alone. Thanks to the president of the Arcadion, she was offered a home, a regulator, and a new field of study: feral souls. She would accept the use of one herself and rise in the rankings of Ascension Arcadia.

Being so studious and a quick learner worked to her advantage, as Alti studied the Alexandrians' way of life, including the use of electrope. Learning how it worked was fascinating to her, and how it reacted to infusions of arcane magicks specifically spoke to her, which made it easy for her to use, helping her adapt to her new everyday life, and her new career.

Crystal Data Center / MateusI'm a very casual FFXIV player and still a bit new to RP on this platform. I have been writing for 10+ years though, and Alti is originally from my own fantasy story. She has been tweaked here to fit FFXIV lore, and her story might still be going through some editing as the game progresses. I hope you enjoy playing with her!updated May 1 2026 - tweaking Arcadion stuff!
